I know it sounds childish, but there you go.
I had a dream last night in which I was a mermaid. Consequently, I did not wake up for over 16 hours. While I can boast being erm... Quite well rested... I must say that I wouldn't have woken up if I didn't have to and now that I'm up, I will spend my time awake by talking about, reading about, and apparently blogging about mermaids. This strikes me as quite sad.
I don't think I would mind being an unappealing mermaid like this:

So long as I would be able to breathe underwater and have my own mentality. I just love the water too much.
It's not surprising. I grew up in the pool, got certified in SCUBA diving, took boating lessons, and became a life guard (though guarding does almost make me hate the water at times). I'm moving to a seaside college with a waterfront that allows students to take a sailboat out for free. I have spent and will spend most of my time near water and I like it that way.
I've even done a touch of underwater modelling (if you can call senior pictures truly modelling, no matter how much it felt like it). And I would be hard pressed to turn down another opportunity to do it. I absolutely loved it, and I think I did pretty good.
I just wish sometimes to have a tail, fins, and gills. Is that too much to ask? (yes)
Maybe I should just apply to Weeki Wachee Springs as a mermaid.
On a totally different note, I am pissed that the highest AP score I got this year was a three. A THREE?! I even got a one. How pathetic. Guess I can't enter college quite as a sophomore.
